Episode 1: The Origin — How we got here.
A home for mixed families, adoptive families, and anyone navigating identity, belonging, and the beautiful complexity of being raised in-between."
The Raising Me Podcast was born from a long-time dream, a healing journey, and one deeply personal question:
“Who taught me who I am… and who gets to teach me now?”
Hosted by creator, singer, and community-builder Bri Ray, this show dives into the raw, unpolished, and very real conversations surrounding race, identity, family dynamics, and the tender gaps so many of us grew up navigating alone.
What began in 2019 as “Project Black Girl”—a small but powerful effort to visually and emotionally represent the stories of young women of color—has evolved into the Raising Me Foundation, a mission-driven space offering education, resources, and community for families like Bri’s: multiracial, adopted, blended, and everything mixed in between.
Here, you’ll find:
✨ Honest, healing conversations about identity and belonging
✨ Stories from adoptees, interracial families, and mixed-race voices
✨ Guests with lived experiences that challenge, comfort, and expand us
✨ A safe space to learn, unlearn, laugh, cry, and grow—together
Whether you’re an adoptive parent, an interracial couple raising mixed kids, or a mixed or adopted young adult searching for connection…
